An AI agent designed and ordered this ESP32 DEFCON-style badge
Gadget, Medium
A light-up ESP32 badge shaped like the OpenAI blossom, with an optional OLED. The agent did the KiCad routing and placed the JLCPCB order from one prompt.
Max Aitel asked an agent (GPT-6-Astra) for a DEFCON badge with the OpenAI logo and an LED on each end of the blossom. The agent routed the board in KiCad and ordered it from JLCPCB. The parts are an ESP32 and generic components (LEDs, resistors), and an OLED is optional for showing information.
The boards arrived in time for DevDay. Max had five and was still stress testing them at the time of the post. No design files are published.
Ideas to try with it
Our ideas, not the builder's claims.
- Ask your agent for a small motor-driver PCB for your next robot
- Design a name badge for a robotics meetup
- Add a servo header and turn the badge into a tiny robot face
