Is there a robot that can keep you company at your desk?

Buy now

Yes. You can buy small desk robots that talk, show faces and react. Reachy Mini and Stack-chan are open source; the preassembled M5StackChan (Stack-chan's standard kit) is $99 on the M5Stack store (Nov 3, 2026). You can also build a talking desk bot on an ESP32.

Quick answers

Which desk robots can you buy?

What does a Stack-chan kit cost?
The preassembled M5StackChan AI Desktop Robot (K151) is $99 on the M5Stack official store (checked Nov 3, 2026). That is the board Stack-chan's README treats as standard.
